That's a Wrap!
Hello again from South Africa!
October has been a busy month, but I still managed to squeeze in some fantastic reads along the way.
For all my international readers — if you’re planning a trip to Africa in 2026, don’t forget that my tour operator business, ZS Safari, can help you experience the magic of this incredible continent.
All the shopping centres are already covered in Christmas decorations, reminding us that 2026 is fast approaching! Despite it being a hectic year, I’m feeling surprisingly prepared. I’ve met my Goodreads reading goal, and I’ve even started my Christmas shopping — which is very unlike me. Normally, I’m one of those people racing around the week before Christmas trying to get everything done. But this year, I’ll be away for a week in early December, so I decided to get ahead of the festive chaos.
But back to the books!
This month, I joined two blog tours and focused on making a dent in my TBR pile. In total, I shared fourteen reviews on the blog. If you missed any, here’s a quick recap:
BOOK OF THE MONTH
Redemption by Jack Jordan
Choosing a favourite this month was tough, but in the end, Redemption by Jack Jordan stood out.
Here’s why it earned the spotlight:
Aaron Alexander has just been released from prison after serving eleven years for causing the death of Joshua Moore in a hit-and-run. Now a free man, all he wants is to stay on the straight and narrow and leave his troubled past behind.
But for Joshua’s mother, Evelyn, eleven years behind bars isn’t nearly enough. Consumed by grief and rage, she’s been waiting for Aaron’s release — counting down the days until she can exact the revenge she believes he deserves.
As Evelyn and her husband Tobias set off on a road trip to track Aaron down, they soon find themselves on opposite sides of a tense and emotional game of cat and mouse. Tobias knows what Evelyn is planning — and he’ll do anything to save her from herself, even if it means protecting the man who killed their son.
Locked on a collision course set in motion eleven years ago, Aaron, Evelyn, and Tobias are about to discover whether their paths lead to retribution… or redemption.
This is an absolutely gripping, emotionally charged thriller that had me hooked from the first page. It’s a solid five-star read — one of those stories that digs deep and stays with you long after you’ve turned the final page.
As always, thank you for reading and supporting the blog. October brought some incredible stories, and I can’t wait to share my November reviews with you.
Until next time… happy reading!

Some great reads this month!
Thanks, and many more to come.
