Everyone has their secrets. But this one could destroy your marriage.
When Anna Blackwell opens an email from an unknown sender, the shocking image attached shatters her perfect world. A woman has been killed. And Anna knows who did it. The past is catching up with her.
Is it her turn next?
To protect herself and her husband Will, she must tell him the terrible truth about her first love. But as the secrets of her life unravel, Anna begins to realise that she is not the only one who has been living a lie.
Anna doesn’t know who to turn to: her best friend, her parents, her husband. But she knows that her ex-lover is dangerous and she must stop him, before it’s too late…
From the bestselling author of The Secret Mother and The Child Next Door, this utterly unputdownable psychological thriller will have you gasping at every twist. If you loved Gone Girl, The Girl on the Train and The Sister this book is for you.

I have never been disappointed by a Shalini Boland book, so when I saw this audiobook was available on NetGalley I jumped at the chance. True to form, this book is an edge-of-your-seat psychologically thriller that will keep you engrossed from start to finish.
Shalini Boland delivers a twisty, intriguing tale featuring everyday people to who you find it easy to relate. This wife is full of surprises and as the story unfolds you are left enjoying the author’s creativity. I love Shalini Boland’s work and find her books a relaxing escape.
Anna finally has the life she has always wanted. She escaped a troubled past, met the man of her dreams and is enjoying everything about her life. When she least expects it, she receives a test from her ex-boyfriend. Finn is back, and with him, he brings Anna’s past crashing into her present. But Finn is dangerous, and he is threatening her husband. Who can Anna turn to? Can she save her husband’s life?
This book managed to keep me entertained from start to end. It delivers twist after twist and as the secrets come spilling out you find yourself clinging to the edge of your seat.
Anna Blackwell moves from nice, to suspicious to someone you are rooting for. Her secrets all come tumbling out, revealing her vulnerability and just when you think she is going to give up, you see a woman full of strength and determination. You must love her, there is no other option.
Shalini Boland never disappoints and if you are used to her books you will love The Millionaire’s Wife. It’s a clever creative story that will keep you flicking pages (or listening to audio) late into the night. Another title that has cemented its place on my loved list for the year.

Books and music are my passion and I’ve always been a writer in some shape or form. Before children, I was signed to Universal Music as a singer/songwriter. But that all seems like several lifetimes ago.
Now I combine motherhood with writing fiction. I write the kinds of books I love to read – suspenseful thrillers and gripping adventures.
