That’s a Wrap!
Happy Halloween!
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve completed my Goodreads reading goal this month—100 books read and reviewed! With two months left in the year, everything I read now is a bonus.
October found me deep in the pages of some truly disturbing thrillers—many of them by the talented Chris Carter. Thrillers, especially the darker ones, are my genre of choice. I’ve often wondered what draws me to them, and I think it’s because a gripping thriller reminds me how fortunate I am to be surrounded by perfectly normal people!
This month, we added fourteen new reviews to the blog, nine of which were thrillers. You can thank Alicia for the lighter additions; she regularly encourages me to pick up something a bit less intense. We just finished buddy reading *Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice* by Elle Cosimano, and as a sneak preview, this instalment is the funniest in the series yet—I absolutely loved it!
That’s it from me! If you missed any of October’s reviews, here’s your chance to catch up.
Book of the Month
While I’d love to name one of the four Robert Hunter books I devoured (yes, four!), I’m loving Chris Carter’s work right now, but Alicia gets to select our Book of the Month for October, and her choice is:
Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros
A big thank you to Jonathan Ball Publishers, Penguin Random House South Africa, and Anne Cater from Random Things Tours for the incredible review copies sent my way. I’ll be sharing my thoughts on these books with you all in November.
And of course, thank you for your continued support of the blog. Your engagement makes sharing these reviews a pleasure. Until next time… Happy Reading!
A good month’s reading again!
Thank you
Great month of reading between us two.
Yep. we’ve been busy!
