That's a Wrap!
It’s time for my mid-year wrap-up!
I’ve had an amazing reading year so far and, if I can keep up this pace, it will be my best reading year ever. I’m well ahead of my reading challenge goal, yet I still have so many books I can’t wait to read.
I recently saw an Instagram post where someone admitted to having more than three hundred books on their TBR shelf. While my own TBR shelf is certainly full, I’m nowhere near that number. I simply can’t leave books waiting to be read for that long!
This month I shared eighteen new reviews on the blog. Four of those were blog tours, while three were review copies kindly supplied by Jonathan Ball Publishers. If you missed any of them, here’s a quick recap:
Although I didn’t award many five-star ratings this month, several of these books came incredibly close, and I genuinely enjoyed every one of them. Choosing my Book of the Month wasn’t easy, but in the end I selected a novel that sits outside my usual comfort zone. It’s a story that has stayed with me long after I finished it, one that I keep thinking about—and it certainly doesn’t hurt that it has a gorgeous cover too!
BOOK OF THE MONTH
Now that winter has well and truly settled in and the days have turned much colder, I’ve loved curling up with a good book. Thank you to everyone who has supported the blog this month, whether by reading, commenting, liking or sharing my reviews. Your support means the world to me. And, of course, a special thank you to my family for happily leaving me alone while I disappear into my latest read—you guys are the best!
I already have some fantastic reviews lined up for July, including Mr and Mrs Dixon Hide a Body by Jennifer Holdich and A River Red with Blood by John Connolly. I’m also eagerly awaiting a copy of Chris Carter’s Hide and Seek. If I manage to get my hands on it early enough, I’ll be sharing my review before the end of the month.
That’s it from me. I hope you all have a wonderful July, and until next time… Happy Reading!
