November In A Nutshell

I cannot believe it, I have been book blogging for two months already! This venture started when I lost my job in the travel industry thanks to COVID 19. Originally it was something to keep me busy until I could go back to work. Now two months down the line, I am having so much fun with this there is no way I will give it up….. even if I end up going back to work.

I have met so many amazing people online and having more time to read means I am escaping reality even more now than I did before. I am loving it!

November turned out to be a rather average reading month for me, I did not read nearly as much as I hoped to, something I need to work on. Anyhow, here is a recap of the books that occupied my time this month.

Number 1

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi (finished 02 November)– Alicia has been bugging me for almost a year to read this series and I have finally made a start on it. Yes, I wrote a review – however, reading this book made me decide to launch a young adult page and hand it over to Alicia to write the reviews. If you have not seen it yet, head on over and have a look.

Number 2

Merciless by Richard Montanari (finished 12 November) – I did not give this audiobook the time it deserved. It took me way to long to finish it. It was a good story and had I provided more time to it I am sure it would have been a lot more entertaining.

Number 3

November Book of the Month

The Searcher by Tana French (finished 14 November) – This was one of my Review copies from Penguin Random House South Africa. It was the first Tana French book I have read, and I just loved her writing style. The book was a lot slower than those I normally read providing me with a welcome change.

Number 4

The Searcher by Tana French (finished 14 November) – This was one of my Review copies from Penguin Random House South Africa. It was the first Tana French book I have read, and I just loved her writing style. The book was a lot slower than those I normally read providing me with a welcome change.

Number 5

Destroy Me by  Tahereh Mafi (finished 20 November) Alicia insists that this is her favourite book in the series, and I promised to read the series so as and when I have time I will fit these into my reading schedule – just for my sweet child.

Number 6

Mothers Don’t Lie – Jo Crow (finished 22 November) This book was an ARC from NetGalley – I have never heard of Jo Crow before but I like the book blub and wow I was blown away by this. I spent the rainy weekend snuggled up with this book and by Sunday afternoon it was done. I enjoyed this book and would day it was my favourite read of November.

Number 7

The Other Couple – Cathryn Grant (finished 29 November) Another ARC from NetGalley  –

Seven Books for November – Guess I did not do as badly as I thought – I want too to aim for eight books next month, let see if I can meet that target. I might take a few days off from blogging during December, but reading is part of my daily routine, so there is no reason for me not to make it.

What are you reading now? Leave a comment below. Thank you for listening to my ramblings, I will see you again next month….. happy reading!
