Official Summary
Love You Bad is a book that will have your head spinning as you turn the pages. The author covered a wide range of crimes that leaves you amazed at the complex illusion Dominic created. There are so many twists you find yourself almost struggling to keep up from one page to the other. Luckily, it’s a quick read so you are never confused for too long.
The book is told from Dominic and Kerensa’s perspective with each chapter jumping between then and now. At times it is a little hard to follow, but the more you read the more the pieces fit together and by the final page, you are left understanding everything that has happened.
Kerensa lives the perfect life. She has a stunning house filled with antiques that overlook the sea. A dotting, if slightly controlling husband and financial stability. At least that’s how it appears. Kerensa cannot remember anything before returning to this house after a hospital stay for a head injury. She is bored and tries to regain her memory by snooping around the house when Dominic is out…. What she finds are some unsettling truth’s that leave’s Dominic reeling and leads to murder. Can Kerensa escape alive?
I read this book in just over a day which is a good thing. Stretching this out too long will make it difficult to keep up with the complex illusion and all the twists. I found myself a little confused at times, and every time I convinced myself I knew where the story was going there was another surprise, another crime and another new piece of information to change everything.
There are a lot of characters in this book, most of them do not stick around for awfully long and with jumping between then and now you need to stay focused while you read. I liked Louisa, Dominic’s troubled stepdaughter while she did not play a huge part your heart goes out to this child amidst all the chaos. Dominic is quite the character. There is nothing this man has not experienced or done. His mind is always on the prise and he weaves a complex web to create an illusion that is only unravelled at the end of the story.
Love You Bad is without a doubt an intriguing read that keeps you unsure of where the story is headed. The book slowly reveals its puzzle pieces one at a time making it impossible to put it down before you reach the very last page. This book will leave your head spinning from page to page. It is a unique, complex story with a lot happening guaranteed to keep you glued to the pages.
Thriller fans are in for a treat when they reach for this book. Love You Bad covers a wide range of crimes, from fraud, theft and child abuse to murder with a psychological twist added to spice it up.
