This book follows Poppy, Lily and Belladonna. When they were younger they plotted a murder. They planned on killing their best friend, Raven’s stepmother however after someone changed their mind the plan didn’t go through. However now after years have gone by the stepmother turns up dead and she was killed the same way they had planned.

This book had so much potential. I loved the unreliable narrators and the plot of this book. It is a very creative story and I haven’t read a book like it before. However, I did have a problem with how unrealistic it is. I mean the police in this were a joke and so was any adult in this book. The parents were by far the worst, how do all of them have such absent parents, it just seems way too convenient to the plot for the parents to not care.

This book is more character-driven than plot-driven and normally I love that. However, with this book, I was so eager to learn the truth about what happened, that all the character focus made me a little impatient. There was so much character drama throughout the book that it felt like filler rather than character development.

I will say though, there were a few twists and turns in this book that I never saw coming. So if you are looking for a book that will have you on the edge of your seat and you never know what is happening next, then I recommend this book.
