Official Summary

Legal crime, a book about Fiona, a girl who runs away and tries her best to survive in the real world.

This book is told from various point of views. I liked this, you got to see what everyone was feeling and what they were all going through. I liked that I could sympathise with most of the characters. Except for Benjamin, he is just a terrible person.

Overall the characters are well written. There were a few moments when I just wanted to yell and Fiona but I think that’s the point. The author showed that Fiona is flawed but still comes across as likeable. You can’t help but root for her. I liked that we saw growth in all the characters and they weren’t all the same throughout the whole book.

I did enjoy the friendships in the book, I liked how Fiona had a way of always making a friend everywhere she went. It says a lot about her character. I also loved how supportive all her friends were, even after they found out she was lying to them about who she really was.

I do just want to point out one thing and that there is a moment in the book where Fiona has colour contacts in and her hair dyed. Then she precedes to have a conversation with her parents and brother. I couldn’t help but find that funny, as a colour change in eyes and hair should not make a child unrecognisable to a parent.

All in all, the book was good. It is a quick and easy read. I would recommend the book for pre-teens or younger teenagers.
