Pip is not a detective anymore.
With the help of Ravi Singh, she released a true-crime podcast about the murder case they solved together last year. The podcast has gone viral, yet Pip insists her investigating days are behind her.
But she will have to break that promise when someone she knows goes missing. Jamie Reynolds has disappeared, on the very same night, the town hosted a memorial for the sixth-year anniversary of the deaths of Andie Bell and Sal Singh.
The police won’t do anything about it. And if they won’t look for Jamie then Pip will, uncovering more of her town’s dark secrets along the way… and this time everyone is listening. But will she find him before it’s too late?

This book was truly extraordinary. It was written extremely well. I cannot believe it took me so long to read this as it is the sequel to ‘A good girl’s guide to murder’, which I loved.
My heart broke for Pip in this book. I mean everything that happened to her in the last book looks like child’s play compared to this one. I honestly just wanted to hug her. It was painful at the beginning of the book when she begged the cops to do something because she did not want to do this all again. Thankfully she had a good support system, like her parents, Ravi and her friends. Well, most of her friends. Lauren and Anthony were just the worst.
Pip is such an awesome character, I liked how strong and determined she was. She sure is a hell of a lot braver than I am. The scary part is that she is a lot more motivated than the cops in the story.
And of course, Max Hastings is just the absolute worst. I have never hated a character more.
I loved how you got all the pieces of the puzzle and how everything came together in the end. Honestly, Holly Jackson knows how to write a good mystery novel. I truly did not see that ending coming, it completely took me by surprise.
Pip and Ravi’s relationship was also very cute. I liked the cute banter they had between them.
My only regret with this book is that it took me two weeks to read. Sadly, my school is trying their best to drown me in as much work as possible leaving me with minimal time to read. However, I did finish this book on a rainy day sitting next to the fire, so naturally, the atmosphere just made the book one hundred times better.
I would one hundred per cent recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the first in the series. An easy five stars from me.

Kill Joy
Pippa Fitz-Amobi is not in the mood for her friend’s murder mystery party. Especially one that involves 1920’s fancy dress and pretending that their town, Little Kilton, is an island called Joy. But when the game begins, Pip finds herself drawn into the make-believe world of intrigue, deception and murder.
But as Pip plays detective, teasing out the identity of the killer clue-by-clue, the murder of the fictional Reginald Remy isn’t the only case on her mind …
Find out where it all began for Pip in this prequel to the best-selling A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder and Good Girl, Bad Blood.
