Official Summary

19 March 2024

I recently promised that I would be reviewing another one of Sarah A Denzil’s books. I have been enjoying this author’s work and want to add more of her books to my TBR – While my physical TBR is a shelf that looks like it’s about to collapse soon – I am sure I can squeeze another book or two onto it.

When you reach for Find Her you can expect a gripping and chilling psychological thriller that delivers on suspense and intrigue. Set against the atmospheric backdrop of the Lake District, the novel unfolds with three weddings at an isolated venue, each ending in tragedy as three brides go missing and three dead bodies are discovered.

The author weaves together the stories of Lucy, Claire and Mila – three brides-to-be with their secrets and vulnerabilities. Lucy longs for stability but faces opposition from her fiancé’s angry teenage son, Jacob. Claire is haunted by a stalker and the aftermath of jury duty on a gruesome murder trial. Mila, hiding her true identity, faces her past catching up to her on what should be her perfect winter wedding day.

The tension escalates as the isolated venue becomes a claustrophobic trap, with guests cut off from the outside world on Christmas Day. The keeps you guessing about the identity of the killer among the brides and their guests, crafting a suspenseful narrative that builds to a chilling climax. The story’s atmospheric setting adds to the sense of unease, making it the perfect winter read for fans of psychological thrillers. While some aspects of the plot may feel familiar to seasoned thriller readers, the author’s storytelling and well-developed characters elevate “Find Her” above the average suspense novel.

Overall, this is a compelling and suspenseful thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the final page. With its atmospheric setting and intricate plot. This novel is not one to miss if you enjoy psychological suspense.
