The second month of 2021 has come to an end and what a month it was. Due to some personal stuff, I did not get to read as much as normal, but all things considered, I do not think I did too badly.

During February I reviewed seven books and added one young adult review by Alicia. In case you missed them, here is a quick recap with links to each review.

I received an ARC of the audiobook from NetGalley and I flew through this one in one weekend. It was brilliantly entertaining and a book I will highly recommend.

I was approached by the author to review this title. It is a novella that can easily be read in one sitting. While it is a quick read that leaves you wanting more, you will not be disappointed with this one, so go ahead, get yourself a copy.

Alicia has been wrapped up in schoolwork and she hasn’t had much time for reading. She is busy re-reading this series and you can keep an eye out for more reviews to come.

This book was sent to me by Jonathan Ball Publisher. It is not a title I would have selected for myself, but it was extremely entertaining, and I found myself heavily invested in this book. It was a gripping tale filled with remarkable women.

My Book of the Month

This book only releases in September 2021. But WOW! This book is well worth checking out. The author approached me with a review request and this is one of the best books I have read in a while. No surprise that this is my book of the month! I absolutely loved this. I will re-post this review closer to the release date – but do yourself a favour, get your hands on a copy of this.

This debut novel from Louise Sharland had me turning pages late into the night. A story about a mother who lost her son and searching for the truth about his death that will keep you guessing. This book is beautifully written.

Okay, so I felt silly when I reviewed this book. I am new to J.D. Robb and this series, and I did not realise it was a futuristic crime novel. Needless to say, had I focused while reading I would not have been so confused. It’s a brilliant book looking at the lives of a religious cult and the lengths they would go to to protect their beliefs. It’s scary what people can choose to believe.

I was introduced to Patricia Gibney’s Lottie Parker series late last year and I have been looking forward to spending more time with these characters. With time being limited for me this month I opted for the audiobook. It was a wonderful way for me to set up my new bullet journal while still enjoying a good story. I have gotten my hands on all the books in this series and while I am not reading them in order, they are fantastic, so expect to hear more about the Lottie Parker series from me soon.
