Official Summary

07 March 2022

This book is about Dani, a girl who has recently achieved fame and fortune. It shows everything that Dani goes through and how fame can change a person.

This book was very interesting, I found myself thinking about it a lot. I think it is because it is a world I know nothing about. I also think of how many teenagers are in the entertainment industry today who probably have similar experiences to Dani.

I will say, I did feel bad for Dani throughout this whole book, even though I couldn’t stand a thing this girl did. Every time she would say or do something arrogant or stupid I wanted to murder her. Especially towards the end… I mean this girl really knows how to be a bad person. However, I found myself feeling bad for her because most of the people around her were even worse than she was. Not to mention how many people took advantage of her and exploited her for their gain.

Trey and Kayla were terrible characters and I didn’t like them, however, nothing compares to how much I disliked Martin. The worst part is I don’t know why I don’t like his character…I know he is supposed to be the only one who is looking out for Dani but I just didn’t click with his character. I also found it so annoying how every two seconds he reminded everyone (Dani included) how he was Dani’s legal guardian.

I will say I do think I was a little too old for this book but I could see my thirteen-year-old self loving this book

Overall it was a great book and once I got into it. I would definitely recommend this one.  I look forward to reading the next book.

  1. Loved your review, Alicia. Thanks for taking the time to read BURNING BRIGHT! Dani definitely takes a negative turn in this book and that visceral reaction to her choices / the people around here is just what I was trying to get across. Just finished the final book in the series. Hope you’ll think it is a good ending to Dani’s journey. I’d be happy to send you a copy when it comes out if you’re interested. Thanks again for your time & energy. Happy reading.
