When struggling journalist Cecily Wong is invited to join an expedition to climb one of the world’s tallest mountains, it seems like the chance of a lifetime.
She doesn’t realise how deadly the climb will be.
As their small team starts to climb, things start to go wrong. There’s a theft. Then an accident. Then a mysterious note, pinned to her tent: there’s a murderer on the mountain.
The higher they get, the more dangerous the climb becomes, and the more they need to trust one another.
And that’s when Cecily finds the first body . . .

This book showed up as a recommendation on my Good Reads profile and it sounded good, so naturally, I added it to my wish list. Thanks to my family, it ended up under the Christmas tree.

I did not know that this book was the author’s debut adult novel, what a brilliant debut. When you reach for this one you can expect to be captivated by a twisty, intriguing tale that is full of thrills.

Amy McCulloch brings knowledge to this story that makes it a gripping read full of experience and hair-raising situations. The story is a full-bodied experience that leaves you feeling as if you are on that icy mountain with the team. I loved the detail that was included. I cannot wait to see what this author sends our way next.

Cecily Wong is not an experienced climber, yet when she is invited to join an expedition to climb one of the tallest mountains in the world, it is a chance of a lifetime. The added offer of an exclusive interview with an alpinist about the make history means she can save her struggling career as a journalist. Unfortunately, Cecily soon discovers she has more to face than just the mountain, there is a killer out there – making this expedition all the more challenging.

This book consumed me. I felt as if I was on the mountain with Cecily, sharing her fears and victories from page to page. I could not put this one down.

Cecily is a brilliant character. She is strong but also filled with fear and insecurities. I love the way you feel as if you are sharing in her growth and skills development. I wanted to cheer her on every time she faced a new challenge.

There is no doubt that this book will be added to my loved list. It is a brilliantly original story that is full of suspense. I cannot wait to see what the author sends our way next.

If you are keen on a thriller that is filled with adventure, thrills and loads of twists – then this is the book for you. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat with thrills and chills from start to end.
