August In a Nutshell

That’s a Wrap

I am always a little sad to say goodbye to August. It’s the month that sees local weather turning warmer as Spring approaches, but it is also my birth month, so I am allowed to be a little biased. August this year has been a busy one with a lot happening at my day job and Alicia has started her prelim exams. That serves as a reminder that school is very nearly at an end for her. (I cannot believe that!)

I took a few days off during my birthday week, so we only added 11 new reviews this month, all of which were brilliant reads. If you missed them, here is an overview. Remember to let us know which of these you have read.

BOOK OF THE MONTH

With three five-star reviews this month, picking a favourite was no easy task, but this one was a brilliant read and it stood out just a little above the rest.

Kill for Me Kill For You by Steve Cavanagh

Thank you to Jonathan Ball Publishers and Penguin Random House South Africa for sending me review copies this month. I love shouting about new books and having local publishers supporting me is hugely appreciated.

Thank you for visiting the blog, remember to share your thoughts on the books we reviewed this month by leaving a comment below.
