Meet Zelda

Hi, my name is Zelda, and I am a book junkie. I always have a book at hand, more often than not I am busy with an audiobook and a juicy paperback at the same time. I love the escape a good story offers that much.

I am a wife and a mother to two teenage daughters who have surprised me by not being as terrible as parents always tell you teenagers are. The most important thing to know about me, I share most of my time with my two fur-babies, Tinka and Norton, the two wire-haired terrorists…. I mean terriers.

Once upon a time, I had a book junkie sister, we worked in the same office and spent hours discussing books, our latest

finds and absolute must-reads. Sadly, lives change, we took different turns and lost touch. I miss our daily book ramblings and that was the motivation behind me starting this blog. I simply have to share my latest treasured discovery with others. Feel free to get in touch if you have a recommendation for me, I am always looking for something new.

You need to know that I am no literary genius, I do not have any formal experience in the world of fiction, writing or publishing. I am an everyday reader who loves getting lost in a good story and then telling others about the great book I just finished reading. If you are looking for an honest recommendation for your next good read, then you are in the right place.

Currently, I average between 5 and 7 books in a month – these are hard copy books, ebooks and audiobooks. I am not a ‘fast’ reader, but I do have time on my hands.

I keep a reading journal, and it goes back about 10 years. Being a hard copy journal, I hope to eventually convert that to digital format for me to share with you. For a list of the books I have read, and to give you an idea of what I read and which authors I spend most of my time with CLICK HERE.

I prefer psychological thrillers, but you will notice from my reading list that I have explored various genres. I often look for something or someone new, as long as it’s a good story I can lose myself in, I am happy…… There are even some Young Adult fiction included – but only because I cannot say no to my teenage daughter’s when they insist I read a book they enjoyed.
