Official Summary

So I was really glad to have finally finished this series. Sadly, I strongly believe that it should have stayed a trilogy. I think everything just got way too complicated and I feel like the ending was super rushed and kind of sloppy.

My biggest problem with this book is that we never got Warner’s point of view. (except for the epilogue). Don’t get me wrong I love Kenji, he is my favourite character in the whole book after all but I think we got a little too much time with Kenji. As it was the last book I thought we would have more time with Warner and Juliette/Ella. I figured since they were the main story that the last book would be spent wrapping up their story.

I felt that Warner was angry in this book and I think it would have been better if we got his point of view, to hear his thought and see what he is going through. Although I loved his overall character growth. His character growth has defiantly been a roller coaster and even though every now again he took a few steps back he always moved forward in some way. It’s funny to think that at the beginning of the series he was the villain of the story.

I am still mad that we didn’t get that wedding scene but at least we know it was happening.

Also, I am super glad we got our fierce confident Juliette back. In this book, she was fearless and probably my favourite character. It’s strange thinking back to the first book where Juliette was a small fragile girl and now she is a strong independent woman.

Overall, even though I’m a little disappointed in the last book I definitely am going to miss this world and the characters. I guess I’ll just have to read the books all over again.

I would defiantly recommend the series although if you want to stay sane then just read the first three.

  1. I just bought this whole set recently when I found it at The Works, £10 for all 4 books. I’ve fancied reading it for years. I am looking forward to finally getting stuck in 🙂
