Outgoing and ambitious, Jules Ambrose is a former party girl who’s focused on one thing: passing the attorney’s bar exam.
The last thing she needs is to get involved with a doctor who puts the SUFFER in insufferable… no matter how good-looking he is.
But the more she gets to know him, the more she realizes there’s more than meets the eye to the man she’s hated for so long.
Her best friend’s brother.
Her nemesis.
Theirs is a match made in hell, and when the demons from their past catch up with them, they’re faced with truths that could either save them… or destroy everything they’ve worked for.

Twisted Hate, the third book in Ana Huang’s Twisted series, follows the love-hate relationship between Jules Ambrose and Josh Chen. If you’ve read the first two books, you already know these two can’t stand each other but in this book, things take a turn neither of them expects.
Jules is a fierce, independent student with a past she’s trying to outrun, while Josh is a cocky doctor who is far too serious. They’ve been clashing for years, and at times this did become a bit repetitive as it felt like they were just having the same argument over and over again.
There were times when I could not stand Josh like even a little bit. I just felt that his reason for disliking Jules so much was not valid like he thought Jules was a bad influence on Ava, um…sorry but Ava is a full-grown adult and it’s got nothing to do with him. But other than that I liked his character.
One thing Ana Huang does so well is writing characters that feel real. Jules isn’t just a wild, carefree party girl she’s got layers, and she’s fighting hard to build a future for herself. Josh might come off as an arrogant jerk, but underneath that, he’s dealing with his own struggles. Their relationship is messy and full of emotions that hit hard. Their banter is hilarious.
The book moves at a good pace, but some parts feel a little predictable. If you love the enemies-to-lovers trope, you’ll probably enjoy every second of their back and forth, but if you’re looking for a super unique plot, this one follows some familiar plots and tropes. That being said, the emotional depth and the chemistry between Josh and Jules totally make up for it.
Overall Twisted Hate just might be my favourite in the series so far, mostly because unlike the first two books this story line as well as the characters felt a lot more real. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of this series.
