August in a Nutshell

That’s a Wrap!

August has come to an end, and what a month it was! It was my birthday month, and I want to give a big THANK YOU to my family for the amazing books I received. I added eighteen new titles to my TBR shelf—now I just need to figure out how to add a few more hours to each day! If anyone has suggestions on how to make that happen, I’m all ears.

With no blog tours scheduled for August, I had some extra time to dive into the books already on my TBR shelf. It was fantastic to rediscover titles I had completely forgotten about. I finally got around to reading Freida McFadden’s *Housemaid* series—and I absolutely loved it! I think I’ve found a new favourite author. Another author I’ve been itching to read is Chris Carter, and WOW! Saying I loved the first two books in the Robert Hunter series is a huge understatement. I have the rest of the series waiting on my TBR shelf, and I can’t wait to dive into them.

This month, we shared fourteen new reviews. Thank you all for your comments and support! If you missed any of the August reviews, here’s a quick overview with links to the full reviews:

BOOK OF THE MONTH

My favourite read this month was, without a doubt, *The Crucifix Killer* by Chris Carter. However, since that book was published back in 2009, I’ve decided not to feature it as the official Book of the Month on the blog. Instead, I’m highlighting a newer release. Mary Kubica, another fairly new-to-me author, has been impressing me lately, and *She’s Not Sorry* absolutely deserves the spotlight as my Book of the Month.

Thank you for visiting the blog and reading my reviews. You can look forward to a few more new releases next month, as well as more of the Robert Hunter series. And remember, I’d love to hear which of my reviews made it onto your TBR shelf. Until next time… Happy Reading!
